Different type of theories are their regarding directions.
In vedic astrology the direction system is simple
1st House- East
7th House- West
10th House - South
4th House - North
Turn clockwise east to south to west to north to east(1-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-)
house no 12-11 comes between East & south
house no 9-8 comes between South & West
house No 6-5 comes betweem West & north
House no 3-2 comes betweem north & East
But in lalkitab The direction of house is governed as given in makan kundli
In lalkitab also different people take it individual way.
Unique system in Lalkitab is that One more direction is added in it. that is Neutral direction of Centre of the House.
Khana N0. 9 is unique. It is called the central Place (Brahma sathan as in Vastu).
Let me explain what I understand regarding this direction policy:
The direction told by you is almost same as I understood except small changes
Have a look at the diagram above. A house is believed to be made on a plot with boundary wall all around. These outer boundary walls are considered to be representing main directions as below
I. 5:- Eastern outer wall
II. 11:- Wester Outer wall
III. 6:- Northern Outer wall
IV. 8:- Southern Outer wall
V. 1:- Trapezium from East to North side corner
VI. 4: Trapezium from Centre to North to east Side corner
VII. 2:- Trapezium from Centre to North to west Side corner
VIII. 10:- Trapezium from Centre to West to North Side corner
IX. 7:- Trapezium from Centre to West to South side corner
X. 3:- Trapezium from Centre to South to west side corner
XI. 12: - Trapezium from Centre to East to South side corner.
XII. 9:- Central Square/rectangular Portion of house.
If we examine the above location carefully we will see that one trapezoidal portion is left which is not got earmarked for any direction. This portion exists between souths to east corner. Lie between 8th, 9th and 12th. House.
There is no system in Lalkitab which gives Khana No 1 as East and Khana No 7 as West.
Regarding Main entry of the house, as far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no khana which governs the entry of the house. There is small reference where on can do the darusti by finding the posited planets related ashayiaan on left or right side side of while entering or exiting the house .
